Sam was born on August 03, 1991 at Hillingdon Hospital in Middlesex at 05:30 in the morning. The surroundings were a lot better than when his sister Hannah was born as the maternity ward had recently been refurbished and resembled a hotel with on suite bathroom. He was a little late as he was due in July. This proved to be a bit of a trait in later years. When the nurse announced he was a boy, Steve punched the air and said "Yes". It took a little time to name Sam as a boys name had not been though about much. He was not named after the next door neighbour’s cat as Hannah would have you believe.
