I remember one time when Hannah and Sam came on there own and stayed over, while they were over we all went to Southend Air show, the show takes place along the coast, along the coastal road there were lots of stalls and activities, before the Air show started we looked along all the stalls, one particular stall sold all types of army gear. At the time Sam was really into army and guns etc (typical boy!), in fact he never stopped liking anything army! He always liked to play the killing games on his Xbox, him and Martin would quiet often play these games on line, a lot of the time well into the night! Not good when they both had work the next day!! Anyway Sam had some spending money and decided to buy an army jacket and trousers, I think nanny June & Granddad Tony bought him the helmet to finish the whole outfit off! He was about aged 12 at the time. We took all our shopping back to the car and went to watch the Air show. When we got home, we had forgotten what Sam had bought earlier in the day. We had been home about half and hour and were watching TV in the lounge, Sam wasn’t in the room at the time, we thought he was on the computer. Anyway while we were watching the TV something caught our eye. Sam had casually and quietly walked into the lounge and sat in one of the armchairs, with his all army purchases on! He looked so funny and cute. I think what made us all laugh so much was that he didn’t say anything to anyone, he just walked in and sat down as if he was in his ordinary clothes! I think Sam didn’t really realise how funny he was sometimes, he wasn’t conscious of it.
